英语课读后感篇1
the poor is the work of lev, tolstoy, a famous russian writer. at that time, the russian working people were living in extreme poverty under the dark rule of the tsar, but they were kind hearted and noble minded. the text recounts the fisherman and her wife, sana, who care and sympathize with the neighbor simon. after simon's death, the story of her two orphans is adopted, reflecting the pure and simple compassion of the poor and the noble quality of helping others. through the life of the sanna family, the author reflects the miserable life of the poor people during that period and their perfect mind.
the fisherman's family was very poor, and their days were very tight. but when the wife of the fisherman saw his neighbour simon's death, and the sad and moving picture of the two children who were not sensible, he did not hesitate to take them home. after a series of psychological struggles, fishermen and sanna firmly believe that no matter how hard they are, they should bring up these two children.
in this text, the deepest part of the text is: her head is back, the cold, green face shows the death of the quiet, a pale stiff hand that wants to catch what, hanging from the straw. next to the dead mother, two small children were asleep, with curly hair, a round face, old clothes covered with old clothes, a curly body, and two small heads of light yellow hair close together. apparently, when the mother was dying, she put her clothes on them and hugged their little feet with their old scarves. the child's breathing is even and calm, and the sleeping is sweet. from this startling description of the situation, i realized the poverty and misery of countless working people in the tsarist era, and i also realized the great mother's love and the two children who were worried about the death of simon.
what impressed me most is the description of sanna's words: it's heartbeat badly, do not understand why, but i think it should be done. when sana saw that two poor children were not raised by their mother, they would rather starve themselves or let simon's two orphans starve to death, which fully demonstrated the kindhearted nature of sonna. one of the words of the fisherman moved me out: "we have to take them and how to stay with the dead! oh, we, we can always stay up!" this sentence is so firm, although the fisherman thought about his own days, but also insisted on raising the two orphans of simon, showing the quality of the fisherman's help and the courage to respond. although these words are made up of several simple words, they can reflect their good nature.
reading this story, i think we should learn the poor, not greedy, selfish, more contented, more to share with others, and if we can have a noble, kind and compassionate heart, our life is plain but also very happy. on the contrary, if selfishness and greed are the same as stupid rich people.

it's sunday today. i've finished all my homework. i don't have any spare time. i must read a book.
looking through the crowded bookshelves, i finally found a good book, "harry potter and the magic stone". the author of the book is the british woman writer j.k rowling. this book is the one year old harry lost parents, foster uncle aunt. harry in the home of uncle suffered bullying, as well as their "dudley -- a fiend in human shape a fat," spoiled, bullying big man, but also on the cuff and kick harry. harry's room is in a dark narrow cupboard, since ten years, harry spent all day in there. no one has ever had a birthday for harry for ten years. however, in harry's eleven birthday that day, everything changed, the owl messenger brought a mysterious letter, invited him to a meeting he felt forever unforgettable and unbelievable place: hogwarts school of magic. at hogwarts, harry not only found friends, learned to fly in the air, riding a model for the nimbus 20xx broom hit earth quebec and win the game, but also get a cloak. he found everything there, from class to meal to sleep, full of magic. but a magic stone appeared, and he was closely related to the fate of harry...read this book, i want to make an extraordinary life, eager to dream round outstanding figures. the strength of friendship, the battle between justice and evil, and the courage to fight against fate are all thrilling in the book. do you want to know what's going on? turn over the book and see it carefully.
英语课读后感篇3
the novel is rich in poetry, symbolism and metaphor. it does not fit easily into a definite pattern, being neither a novel of "manners" in the tradition of austen, or a straightforward gothic romance in the style of mrs radcliffe. what charlotte bronte did was to create a work which cleverly blends elements of the two styles, and which remains uniquely independent of them at the same time, since it addresses issues which were at the time rather controversial.
the novel is written in the first person, and thus magnifies the central character - the reader enters the world of jane eyre and is transported through her experiences at first hand. this at once makes the work subjective, especially since we know that charlottes brontes own life and experiences were so closely interwoven with the heroine's. as well as this we learn only at the end of the novel that the events are being related to us ten years after the reconciliation with rochester - thus the narrative is retrospective (looking back) cb is clever in blending the narrative so that at times jane seems to be speaking as an adult with adult hindsight , while at others she she is "in the middle" of them, as a child or young woman. the indecision which is a central issue in the book, is heightened by this device. we never know, as readers, whether to be entirely trustful of janes actions and thoughts, because we are never sure wheher she is speaking impulsively or maturely.
this intensifies the readers dilemma as to what is "right" and "wrong" in the dramatic relationships which are part of je's life. can we believe what the heroine says, or is she deceiving herself? the novel is primarily a love story and a "romance" where wishes come true but only after trials and suffering. the supernatural has its place, as do dreams, portents and prophesies. the heroine begins poor and lonely and ends up rich and loved; the orphan finds a good family to replace the wicked one; all the basic ingredients of classic romantic fairytale are present.
the romantic element is present in two forms in jane eyre; the "family" aspect is dealt with in the gateshead, lowood and moor house episodes, which involve the exchanging of the wicked reed family for the benevolent rivers one; and the love romance is dealt with in the thornfield and ferndean episodes. both aspects are, of course linked and interwoven throughout the novel.
英语课读后感篇4
little woman was written by american female writer alcott. after reading this novel, i have some opinions about these four women.
the novel described four sisters in the march family; they were kind to each other and love each other, hardworking, stayed with neighbor laurence friendly. different disposition girls had found their own happy through their own goodness and industrious. the novel has not a fluctuation plot and fascinating suspension in a play, but the author described the happiness in march family with the simple language. their good and kind, loyalty to love and family has left me a deep impression. the author only described very ordinary detail in the life, but reveals the love to the happy life expectation everywhere.
although these girls born in a poor family, but they all had the positive attitude to any matter, the novel had laid emphasis on their individuality and the dignity, but also has displayed their self-expression restraint. independently was these four girls’s common characteristic, they always keep discovering their own shortcoming and correct it as soon as possible which worth our learning. look we, some people always make mistakes, but they always think that it is a small mistake; they don’t need to notice it, let it go. if every one like them, the society will become very awful, no rule can limit people’s behaviors, they can do anything they like.
these four girls are very different, let me introduce them, meg, the eldest of the four, was sixteen, and very pretty, being plump and fair, with large eyes, plenty of soft, brown hair, a sweet mouth, and white hands, of which she was rather vain. fifteen-year-old jo was very tall, thin, and brown, and reminded one of a colt, for she never seemed to know what to do with her long limbs, which were very much in her way. she had a decided mouth, a comical nose, and sharp, gray eyes, which appeared to see everything, and was by turns fierce, funny, or thoughtful. her long, thick hair was her one beauty, but it was usually bundled into a net, to be out of her way. round shoulders had jo, big hands and feet, a flyaway look to her clothes, and the uncomfortable appearance of a girl who was rapidly shooting up into a woman and didnt like it. beth, as everyone called her was a rosy, smooth-haired, bright-eyed girl of thirteen, with a shy manner, a timid voice, and a peaceful expression which was seldom disturbed. her father called her "little tranquility," and the name suited her excellently, for she seemed to live in a happy world of her own, only venturing out to meet the few whom she trusted and loved. amy, though the youngest, was a most important person in her own opinion at least. a regular snow maiden, with blue eyes, and yellow hair curling on her shoulders, pale and slender, and always carrying herself like a young lady mindful of her manners. what the characters of the four sisters were we will leave to be found out.
i love meg for her being glad to impoverish for love, not enticed by the money. she did family teacher to help the family. i love jo for her free and easy, likes her for the steadfast determination which she struggles for dream. she earns living expenses with aunt march and writes articles for the newspaper to gain the payment to increase the daily necessities to the family. i love beth for her tranquil characteristic, doing anything without any complain. like her good personal character which always considers for others, she loves music and feels shy with strangers, so she always does some housework with her mother at home. i also love amy for her strong desire; she regard supporting the poor people as her own faith. she was interested in sketch. though their idea and the destiny are various, they had all found their own love.
in their eyes, the family was not only the place of growth but also the holy refuge. they liked to hear their mothers instruction carefully; they created games by their clever brain and hands which can beautify the mind. four sisters growth courses were as if an interest education poem. the author had shown us the humanitys great dear ones such as friendship and love with ordinary language. in my opinion, it will be the happiest matter if these four sisters can live with those who they love. they are all good person, if i can live with them, i think my left will become rich and colorful.
an old saying said that “three women can play a performance”, woman always have their own idea, if the idea has formed, and almost no one can change it. when women meet, if one talks her opinion about something, another one will give her opinion to the first one, then the argument will take place, let’s imagine, there were four women in one family, though they are sister, argument can’t avoid, it will be very interesting in the home.
from the novel, i have learned that we should keep hope for future and make great efforts to seek dream. i also have learned to cherish what you have had such as your parents, time and so on ,we should discover everyones merit but to take the colored eye to see others shortcoming.
remember, whatever your goal is, you will get it if you are willing to do!
